Application for Graduation

Candidates for a graduate degree or Certificate of Graduate Studies must submit an official Application for Graduation by the deadline published in the University’s Academic Calendar for the semester in which they intend to graduate. Applications must be submitted electronically through the VSU Banner system. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure timely submission in order to participate in the appropriate Commencement exercise and to allow for degree clearance processing.

Certification of Degree Completion

Upon written request from the student, the Office of the Registrar will provide official verification of degree completion to an employer. The request must include the full name, title, mailing address, and ZIP code of the individual to whom the certification should be sent.

Only the Office of the Registrar is authorized to verify the number of credit hours completed and the fulfillment of all degree requirements for employment or professional purposes.
