INDS 295. Internship I. (1-6 Credits)
INDS 295 offers lower-division students an opportunity to gain real-world work experience related to their academic program. This course supports the University's Work-Based Learning requirement and is open to students of all majors. Under faculty and workplace supervision, students engage in workplace tasks that enhance academic learning, build foundational professional skills, and contribute to career exploration. Students are required to complete reflective assignments and maintain documentation of their internship experience.
INDS 301. Experiential Learning Seminar. (1 Credit)
This course is required only for students seeking credit for learning from life/work experience. This course is optional. Advisor permission to enroll is required.
INDS 302. Individual Studies Career Sem. (3 Credits)
The Individualized Studies Careers Seminar with Workforce Credential is an eight-week course designed to prepare students in the Bachelor of Individualized Studies program for successful transition into the workforce. This course will focus on career exploration, professional development, and acquiring a workforce credential relevant to the student's career goals. Students will engage in activities, workshops, and projects aimed at enhancing their job readiness and competitiveness in the job market. This course will include completion of a professional workforce credential from a university affiliated provider.
INDS 495. Internship II. (1-6 Credits)
INDS 495 offers upper-level students (juniors and seniors) an advanced opportunity to gain specialized, hands-on professional experience. Building on skills from Internship I, this course deepens students' engagement with their field, requiring them to tackle more complex tasks, apply higher-order skills, and contribute strategically to their internship site. Supervised by a mentor and faculty advisor, students complete reflective assignments, a capstone project, and a final presentation.

Senior Research Project (An independent research project, which builds upon the student’s area of specialization and serves as a culminating experience.)
INDS 499A. Senior Capstone in INDS. (3 Credits)
The Senior Capstone in Individualized Studies emphasizes problem-solving and critical thinking through project-based learning. This course will focus on project planning, execution, evaluation, and presentation, culminating in the completion of a comprehensive capstone project. Students will work closely with a faculty advisor to develop the project plan and design to demonstrate their mastery of interdisciplinary knowledge and skills acquired throughout their academic journey. Emphasizing creativity, critical thinking, and practical application, this project allows students to delve deeply into an area of personal passion and academic interest. Students will synthesize their learning from various disciplines and create a unique, multifaceted project that showcases their academic, professional, and personal growth.
INDS 499B. Senior Capstone in INDS. (3 Credits)
This course is a continuation of INDS 499A. Advisor preapproval is required to register for this course. The Senior Capstone in Individualized Studies emphasizes problem-solving and critical thinking through project-based learning.
