Overview of the Office of the Provost Programs

The Office of the Provost provides administrative oversight for interdisciplinary academic programs designed to meet the evolving educational and professional goals of students. Through innovative and flexible degree pathways, the Office supports students whose academic interests extend beyond the boundaries of a single traditional discipline.

The Bachelor of Individualized Studies (BIS) and Master of Interdisciplinary Studies (MIS) programs are designed to foster intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and integrative learning. These programs allow students to combine coursework from multiple academic disciplines to create a personalized program of study aligned with their educational aspirations, career objectives, and lifelong learning goals.
